This beer was brewed early 2017 and spent 2 years in second use barrels from Glenora Distillery in Cape Breton. Brewed with all local Horton Ridge pale malt and Wheat. There is low hop character in this beer which allows the barrel and addition of Chai tea and spices to shine. Once it was taken out of the barrels we did several tasting sessions with Phil from World Tea House and came up with the special blend of Chai tea. The toffee and caramel sweetness is balanced with the spices and nice black tea flavour. You will be delighted with beautiful aromas and flavours of gingerbread, carrot cake and honey whiskey.
